Nancy Dalberg was a pioneer in Danish music life in the 1920ies. She was a self-made as a composer, as she took classes by Johan Svendsen, Fini Henriques, Carl Nielsen, and arranging the performances of the works in her own home. Her String Quartets which were otherwise unknown to the public have now been recorded - String Quartet 1 and 3 for the first time, by Nordic String Quartet, released by Dacapo Records.
P2's jury writes: "It is a grand enrichment to shine a light on this unknown music. Nancy Dalberg's music is filled with passion and colour".
