Each year the Danish Arts Foundation provides grants for a selection of the best and most promising artists in Denmark.
This year 885 composers, songwriters and sound artists applied for grants. 253 recipients were selected, including several Edition·S composers.
Christian Winther Christensen is one of five applicants who will receive the largest grants of DKK 250,000. “40-year-old Christian Winther Christensen continues his riveting development,” the grant committee explains, “and the coming years will see spectacular performances of his music at some of the world’s most prestigious music festivals.”
