TRIBUTES - Pulse screening at BAFICI in Buenos Aires
Simon Christensen and Bill Morrison’s art film TRIBUTES - Pulse is on the programme of this year's edition of BAFICI, the Buenos Aires International Independent Film Festival.
TRIBUTES - Pulse was created in 2010-11 as a remix of art film, music and sound production. The title refers to the work as a tribute to four American composers: Charles Ives, Conlon Nancarrow, Steve Reich and Trent Reznor, associating each of them to an element (water, earth, fire, and air). Christensen studied the use of pulse in the works of these four composers, and Morrison did so in the internal life of each selected fragment. This concept of “pulse” is explored in an experimental perspective in society, nature, and the industry.
The festival runs from April 11 to April 22, and TRIBUTES - Pulse will be shown three times during this period: on April 13 at 9.15 pm, on April 15 at 11 pm and on April 20 at 2 pm.
